ARTIST: 

25 years ago we visited a quaint town in France called St Jean de Luz. My heart and eyes were opened in a way I had never thought possible! Before I knew it I had a paint brush in hand and was intent on capturing the shadows, the light and the nuances of this magical place.  

Everything had a story to tell—the people, the cobblestone streets, the ancient buildings! When that passion ignited, I understood that being an artist is more than just sketching and painting. It’s experiencing the world in a different way; a new way of living and breathing. These paintings are meant to recreate a mood—evoke a feeling—and draw you into the magic…

SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR & ADVOCATE:  

” I am enough; I have enough” 

After working with the homeless people in France for 11 years, and 8 years as an advocate for Restorative Justice in BC, Canada, I came to realize early on that helping another human being by providing small gestures of generosity and kindness is ultimately a gift to ourselves. Nowadays, I show up when I see injustice, help young families through PureInsight.ca, and support community and leadership through PivotSociety.ca

 

ENTREPRENEUR:   I was a hippy granola gal with a business flair.  At the age of 25, HealthShows was born; a small exhibition platform to inform people about natural health options.  My baby grew up into an exciting national forum with speakers & exhibitors sharing in education about natural choices. After 16 years, HealthShows became someone else’s dream. Presto ~ we were onto a new adventure! That’s when we discovered a sweet little village in France and now live our dream in St Jean de Luz, on the ocean above the Spanish Border for part of the year. In the spring we return to Canada to run Fly! Air Taxi + Flight School on the Sunshine Coast, BC.! We also offer our sweet French home to special people who want a vacation to ‘feed their soul’  FrancebytheSea. 

This year, my sis and I launched our latest project Pure Astrology.  Barb and I combined my love of art with her lifetime passion and study of astrology! Always a new adventure!

 My husband and I live full and interesting lives! We value community and are fully aware that ‘hoping for world peace is like trying to live peacefully in a big crazy family!’ And we continue our practice 🙂
